Thanks But No Thanks

It is that time of the year again to say thanks. While there may be some things that we may not be exactly very “thankful” for, there are always more good things than bad things.

Things we are thankful for:

  • Mathway

    • For that Sunday night when you realize that you have 10 Khan Academy topics due the next morning.

  • Geraldine Walsh

    • No matter how many rooms you burnt, or how many times you forgot to book the STEM Lab, you are still the G.O.A.T.

  • No Uniforms

    • Being able to express your current mood either by wearing comfortable clothes or being able to flex your brand new Yeezys on Friday mornings.

  • Bathrooms

    • A nice place to “let off some steam” (if you know what we mean).

  • Business Incubator

    • Who would have thought the school would invest copious amounts of money just so students could have free periods?

  • INC Policy

    • For when you decide to turn that one project that was due in September the week before exams.

Things we are not thankful for

  • Access Assemblies

    • What’s supposed to be your 1-hour cram session to do last week’s homework becomes a 1-hour lecture on Independence Day.

  • Turnitin.com

    • Long gone are the days where a last-minute copy-paste Wikipedia session would save that final English essay.

  • CHED

    • “For homework, you will do a reflection on yesterday’s reflection and tomorrow you’ll start your reflection on your draft for your final reflection”.

  • School Lunch

    • “For what we are about to eat, may the Lord make us truly not vomit” - Gordon Ramsay.
