Cata Santos

CHIEF DIRECTOR

Cata Santos is the Chief Director of El 107. She is currently a senior in high school and this is her third year in El 107 team. She used to be the Head Editor of Eagle Eye and writer of the Soft department. Some of her interests include psychology, playing tennis, listening to good music, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She also runs Creciendo Juntos, a CSL organization.

Laura Guerra

CHIEF EDITOR

Laura Guerra is the Chief editor of El 107. She currently is a senior in ASFM, and this is her 3rd in El 107. She previously collaborated by being the head of the investigative department. Laura enjoys reading, writing, listening to music and exercising. She is also involved in MUN, NHS, Techo, and she also participates in CSL.

Pau Flores

HEAD OF INVESTIGATIVE

Pau Flores is head editor of the investigative department, which she has been a part of for two years, whilst also collaborating with Eagle Eye. She is currently studying in her senior year at ASFM. In her free time, Pau loves to watch movies, listen to music, cook, travel, play the piano, spend time with loved ones, take photos, and write. Pau is also involved with MUN, the green team, and other school clubs and activities.

Mony Probert

HEAD OF EAGLE EYE & INVESTIGATIVE DEPARTMENT

Mony Probert is the head of the Eagle Eye department and a writer for the Investigative department of El 107. She is a senior and this is her second year in the class. Mony loves pilates, F1, football, playing the piano, reading, talking, and hanging out with her friends. She is also involved in MUN, NHS, the business club, and CCE.

Lorenzo Garza T.

INVESTIGATIVE & EL CANAL DEPARTMENTS

Lorenzo Garza T is currently a sophomore at ASFM and is a new member of El 107. Lorenzo is a part of the Canal and Investigative department. He is passionate about sports, more specifically football and tennis. In his free time, Lorenzo also thoroughly enjoys playing instruments such as the guitar, piano, and drums.

Renata Abaroa

INVESTIGATIVE & EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENTS

Renata Abaroa is a writer for the investigative department of El 107 and a collaborator for Eagle Eye. She is currently a junior at ASFM and this is her first year in El 107. Renata enjoys dancing, baking, listening to music, traveling, and often spends time with her friends and family. She has also been involved in NHS for several years.

Lukah Villarreal

INVESTIGATIVE DEPARTMENT & SUPPORTING DESIGNER/CARTOONIST

Lukah Villarreal (@lukahv_07 on Instagram), a sophomore at ASFM, is a first-time writer and creative member of the Investigative Department of El 107; also collaborating within the Design and Cartoonist sections of the journal. Apart from drawing, reading, and composing/playing music, he teaches Chess at a local academy, is part of the SeLider program, is the Secretary of the ASFM Ambassadors, and is involved in an array of clubs and organizations including: the MUN Secretariat, NHS, Multicultural Club, Business & Investment Club, Escolta, ASFM band and Miles for Smiles. His favorite books/movies are East of Eden, Lord of the Rings, and Dead Poets Society.

Dany Benítez

HEAD OF OPINION & PART OF EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENT

Dany Benitez is a senior at ASFM, and it is her second year in El 107. She is Head of the Opinion department, as well as part of Eagle Eye. Dany is passionate about writing, music, singing, and generally the arts. She has played tennis for years now and recently started playing soccer. Apart from El 107, she is also president of StuCo and executive of Techo.

Diego Rodríguez

OPINION, EL CANAL & EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENTS

Diego is a writer for the opinion section, part of El Canal, and Eagle Eye. He is currently a senior at ASFM, and this is his second year in El 107. In his free time, he enjoys film, literature, writing, art, and listening to music while daydreaming about being somewhere else. He is involved in the CCE Communications Department, where he takes photographs and videos of community service events, and he is also part of the Volleyball Team.

Mara Santos

OPINION & EL CANAL DEPARTMENTS

Mara Santos is currently a junior at ASFM. This is her second year in El 107 as part of the Opinion section and her first year as part of Canal. She’s also a part of MUN’s secretariat and the Miles for Smiles team. She loves watching movies, discovering music, drawing, and playing the guitar. But, above all, spending time with her friends and family.

Corde González

OPINION DEPARTMENT

Corde González is a writer for Opinion of El 107. She is currently a senior in high school and this is her first year in El 107. Corde mostly spends her time reading, writing, baking, with friends and participating in CSL.

Ana Garza

OPINION DEPARTMENT

Ana Garza is a junior at ASFM and a new member of the magazine’s Opinion section. She previously published an article as a guest writer, but this is her first year officially joining the team. Ana is part of NHS and runs a peer-mentoring group with middle school. She also enjoys reading, painting, traveling, and making friends and memories around the world.

Luisa Hernández

OPINION DEPARTMENT

Luisa Hernández is a sophomore at ASFM and a first-time writer for the opinion department in El 107. Writing and expressing herself are a few of her passions, but these also include reading, traveling, staying in and watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. As a member of NHS and participant in CSL activities, Luisa values helping out her community.

Valeria Gutiérrez

OPINION DEPARTMENT

Valeria Gutierrez is a junior in ASFM as well as a first-year opinion writer for El 107. She was part of the debate club and has a passion for expressing her opinions. Other than writing, Valeria enjoys listening to music, spending time with her family and friends, working out, and reading.

Regina Mosqueda

CARTOONIST

Regina Mosqueda is currently a senior at ASFM. This is going to be her first year in El 107 and will be the head cartoonist. Currently, she is on the school's soccer, track, and volleyball teams, but also enjoys drawing and animation on the side. She is also involved in other activities such as the Film and Animation Club and is currently one of the heads of the CCE ART department.

Marcelo Ramírez

HEAD OF EL CANAL

Marcelo is currently a senior in ASFM, and this is his second year in El 107 as a videographer and editor for Canal. Besides El 107, he is involved in NHS and Techo. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, photography, mountain biking, tennis, and spending time with friends and family.

Miguel Segovia

EL CANAL DEPARTMENT

Miguel Segovia is currently a senior at ASFM and is a new member of El 107 in Canal. Besides El 107, he also enjoys playing basketball, video games, listening to music, and spending time with friends.

Majo León

HEAD OF DESIGN

Majo is currently cursing her last year at ASFM as a senior and is the new head of the design department at El 107. During her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, exercising, and hanging out with her friends. Additionally, she is involved in MUN, Miles4Smiles, and Techo.

Vale Colyer

HEAD OF MARKETING & PART OF DESIGN DEPARTMENT

Vale is the head of marketing and also part of the design team. She is currently a senior at ASFM and this is her second year in El 107. She is involved in CSL activities and has been a part of Techo as well. Apart from school, Vale enjoys Ice Skating, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.

Dany Cruz

DESIGN & EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENTS & SUPPORTING CARTOONIST

Dany Cruz is a junior in ASFM, and she is in her first year in El 107. She is one of the designers on the team and will also be helping with cartoons and Eagle Eye. Dany loves to play sports, especially soccer. She enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, painting, and reading. She also participates in CSL activities since she loves to help out people.

Santi Cabañas

DESIGN DEPARTMENT & EL CANAL COLLAB

Santiago Cabañas, a junior, making his design debut with El 107. Additionally, he contributes to both El Canal and Eagle Eye. When he's not in the gym or on the basketball court, he can be found engaged in books, studying, or dedicatedly working on his personal project: a sportswear brand named EVLVE (www.evlve.mx). His interests also extend to watching sports and enjoying time with friends. He carries ambitious dreams and aspirations, which drive him in his journey. As an executive member of TECHO ASFM, he participates in building houses for those who need them. Among his many passions, design holds a special place, leading him to channel that passion into his work with El 107.

Miri Yee

DESIGN DEPARTMENT & SUPPORTING CARTOONIST

Miri is a senior at ASFM and is a new member at El 107. She forms part of the design department and is a supporting cartoonist. Miri loves to play sports, among these sports, she plays volleyball at ASFM. Her favorite hobbies are photography, reading, and painting, art is her passion. She spent a great amount of her time enjoying art classes at ASFM and even teaching at art CSL. She also enjoys spending time at ASFM clubs she forms part of. These are BSC (BioScience Club), Creative Writing, part of CCE and at MCC, where she is the head of Publicity. She enjoys helping the community at ASFM and outside ASFM.

Ariana Del Bosque

DESIGN DEPARTMENT

Ariana del Bosque is part of the Design Team. She is currently an 11th grader, and it is her first time being part of El 107. Other than the 107 she also enjoys hanging out with friends, doing exercise, and listening to music.

Raquel Meouchi

DESIGN DEPARTMENT

Raquel Meouchi is currently a junior at ASFM and a new member at 107. She is part of the design department. She’s also part of the CSL and Miles for Smiles team. Raquel enjoys reading, painting, photography, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.

Fer Assad

HEAD OF SOFT NEWS & PART OF EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENT

Fer Assad is currently a junior at ASFM. She is the head of the soft department, and it is her second year in El 107. Fer loves writing, reading, being active, playing soccer, traveling, taking photographs, listening to music, and also being with friends. Fer is involved in MUN, CCE, and Miles for Smiles.

Mila González

SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT & EL CANAL COLLAB

Mila González is a writer for the Soft section in El 107. She is currently a senior in high school and this is her first year in El 107. Mila enjoys spending her free time hanging out with friends and family, baking, watching films, traveling, and participating in CSL.

Pablo Odriozola

SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT

Pablo Odriozola is a writer for the soft news section. He is currently a junior at ASFM and this is his first experience working with El 107. Pablo enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with friends and family, and listening to music. Pablo is also the leader of Chipinque’s CCE.

Renata Ramos

SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT

Renata is currently a senior at ASFM and is a new member at 107 in the soft department. Renata is also on the soccer team in the school. She also likes to spend time outdoors doing hikes and enjoying nature. She is a big fan of any kind of animal and always tries to help them out. Renata also enjoys traveling a lot and learning about the different cultures there are.

Santiago Romo

SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT

Santiago Romo is currently a sophomore in ASFM, and he is a first-time member of El 107. He is part of the Soft News department in El 107, apart from school, Santiago is really passionate about sports. He plays basketball 4 hours a day, and enjoys watching the NBA and NFL. In his free time, Santiago enjoys spending time with his friends, listening to music, going to the gym and sleeping.

Chalo Campos

HEAD OF HARD NEWS

Probably the only one with a beard in High School, Chalo Campos is currently a senior and it is his second year in El 107 helping out in The Nest as the Head of the department. Apart from playing Basket, Soccer, and other sports in-and-out of school, Chalo is the President of the Techo Club, whilst being an avid enjoyer of music, video games, and going to the gym all in his free time.

Romina Arce

HARD NEWS & EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENTS

Romina Arce is a first-time writer for the Hard department of El 107, as well as a collaborator for Eagle Eye. She is a sophomore interested in reading, exercising, traveling, and being with friends and family. As a member of MUN Secretariat and NHS, she is passionate about helping her community and being involved in various activities and organizations.

Gabo Marchand

HARD NEWS DEPARTMENT & OPINION COLLAB

Gabo Marchand is a writer for the hard news section and a collaborator for the opinion section. He is currently a junior at ASFM and this is his first experience working with El 107. Gabo enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, watching movies, and listening to music. He is also one of the organizers of Torneo DIF NL from CCE.

Matilde Garza

SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT

Matilde Garza is a junior at ASFM and a first-time writer for the Soft News section of El 107. Matilde really enjoys exercising, playing tennis, playing the piano, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She also participates in CSL activities to help out the community.

Karen Miñarro

HARD NEWS DEPARTMENT

Karen Miñarro is a writer for the Hard news section. She is currently a Senior at ASFM and this is her first year in El 107. In her free time, Karen loves car rides with music, spending time with her friends, reading, and going to the beach. She is also involved in MUN, Volleyball, and various school clubs.

Alejandro Romo

HARD NEWS DEPARTMENT & EL CANAL COLLAB

Alejandro is currently a senior in ASFM and a new member of El 107’s Hard News department. He is an avid wildlife photographer, as he enjoys the scenic outdoors, while also being a dedicated athlete who gets a thrill out of competition. Apart from writing for hard news, he will also be contributing to the Canal this year.
