For most high school students Mr. Shae, the new Drama teacher, may be a complete stranger. You may know him as “the guy who longboards in the hallways”, but that is only scraping the surface of Mr. Shae.Below are a few interesting facts on his exploits before arriving to Monterey, ranging from the arts to foreign escapades.

3. Ran a 10km race in order to get a permit to visit North Korea

5. Corrected the state of Maryland and nullified an entire state’s exam because of their incorrect analysis of a poem (My Poppa’s Waltz, Theodore Rethky)

6. Has visited all seven continents, including Antarctica
