Romina Arce

CHIEF DIRECTOR

Romina Arce is a Senior at ASFM and currently Chief for El 107. This is her third-year in El 107 and was previously Head of El Missouri (Hard) department. She is passionate about reading and writing, traveling, spending time with friends and family, exercising, watching Formula 1, true crime, and medicine. She is also Sub-Secretary General (SSG) of MUN Secretariat, Treasurer of NHS, and an active participant of community service both in and out the school.

Luisa Hernández

CHIEF EDITOR

Luisa Hernández is a Senior at ASFM, and this is her third year in El 107. She is now one of two chiefs and was previously head editor of the Opinion department. She enjoys writing and spending time with the 107 team, but some of her other passions include reading, traveling, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family. As Vice-President of NHS, PCC member, and participant in other clubs, Luisa finds joy in learning and values helping out her community.

Jimena Treviño

HEAD OF INVESTIGATIVE DEPARTMENT

Jimena Treviño is currently an 11th-grade student at ASFM. This is her second year in el 107  and is her first year being Head of Investigative! She is co-founder and co-president of the Creative Writing club and when she is not at school, you can find her dancing at Ale Mancillas or taking naps with Suits playing in the background. She also enjoys acrylic painting, reading, and Dolce runs with her friends.

Mila Lara

HEAD OF EAGLE EYE & OPINION DEPARTMENT MEMBER

Mila Lara is a senior at ASFM and this is her second year in El 107. She’s part of the Opinion Department and is also Head of Eagle Eye. Outside of el 107, Mila enjoys playing soccer, reading, and singing. She’s also Head of the UNIDO CSL program at ASFM, where she loves participating to help others.

Darío Ramírez

HEAD OF CANAL DEPARTMENT

Darío Ramírez strives to enjoy every day of his senior year. He is immensely grateful to pursue his lifelong passion for visual storytelling by leading Canal in his second year in El 107. When he is not vomiting ideas onto whiteboards, you can find Darío staying until night in the robotics workshop, smiling on the tennis courts, or mixing all the items in his fridge and pantry into banging yogurt bowls.

Juliana Odriozola

HEAD OF MARKETING DEPARTMENT

Juliana Odriozola is a senior at ASFM. It is her second year in El 107 and she is the head of the Marketing department. Juliana loves to travel, exercise, be with her friends, ski, bake, work, and do everything related to adrenaline. She is also co-founder and co-president of a community service program in Hogar Ortigosa and is part of the executive member board in TECHO.

Emilio Yee

HEAD OF OPINION DEPARTMENT

Emilio Yee is a senior at ASFM, where he is head of the opinion department. It’s his second year at El 107. His hobbies include volleyball and attempting to finish his four-year novel-project called Terminal 13 (which he hopes to have published before the end of the school year). Emilio is president of MCC, and part of the Ambassadors and PCC, all of which he is passionate about.

Charlie Turner

HEAD OF EL MISSOURI DEPARTMENT

Charlie Turner is an 11th grader at ASFM. This is his second  year in El 107, he is the head of  the El Missouri news department. Charlie loves to play soccer and play golf in his free time. He also loves food, especially chilaquiles.

Santiago Romo

HEAD OF SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT

Santiago Romo is currently a Senior in ASFM and he is a 3rd year member in El 107. He is head of the Soft News department in El 107, apart from school, Santiago is really passionate with sports. He plays basketball 4 hours a day, and enjoys watching the NBA and NFL. In his free time Santiago enjoys spending time with his friends, listening to music, going to the gym and sleeping.

Mara Assad

HEAD OF DESIGN DEPARTMENT

Mara Assad is a senior at ASFM. This is her second year in El 107 and she is Head of the Design Department. Mara is deeply passionate about reading, tennis, piano, and painting. She likes to travel the world and discover new places. She is part of the NHS executive team and loves helping the community through different CSL activities.

Sara Garza

OPINION DEPARTMENT

Sara Garza is a senior and a first-time writer for the Opinion section. She currently serves as NHS president and Co-USG of HURAC in MUN. Outside of school, Sara enjoys baking and playing tennis.

Icha Préstamo

OPINION DEPARTMENT

Icha Préstamo is a senior, who forms part of the opinion department. She loves animals and deeply enjoys playing soccer, having meaningful conversations and writing. Techo is something that fills Icha’s heart, which is why she is an executive member supporting Roofin ASFM as well as Techo NL.

Lukah Villarreal

DESIGNER/CARTOONIST

Lukah Villarreal is a senior at ASFM in his third year as part of El 107. He’s been a writer, designer, and illustrator—now, Head Cartoonist exploring animation as a medium. Last year, he launched Eagle Man, his eight-part comic series chronicling the adventures of a quixotic—some would say absurd—ASFM student-slash-self-appointed sentinel of justice. Lukah has a shrine to Lord of the Rings in his bedroom, loves Taco Bell, and enjoys participating in student organizations to develop his leadership and speaking skills.

Marcelo Turner

OPINION, EAGLE EYE, AND CANAL DEPARTMENTS

This will be Marcelo Turner’s first year as a part of El 107’s team, where he will be a writer for the opinion department, and will also be a part of the Eagle Eye. Marcelo is in 10th grade, he loves playing soccer, and the electric guitar. He has a very big family, which he loves spending time with. Marcelo grew up in Warsaw, Poland, where he lived until he came back to Monterrey in fourth grade.

Moni Escamez

DESIGN DEPARTMENT

Moni Escamez is currently a senior in ASFM. This is her second year in el 107 as part of the design department. Outside of school, her favourite things to do are teaching in 7M, painting, watching movies and being in Dolce 24/7.

Mateo Paez

EL MISSOURI DEPARTMENT

Mateo Paez is a sophomore at ASFM and is in his rookie year in 107. He is part of El Missouri (Hard) department and is ready to hear and share students' voices. Outside of academics, Mateo loves playing sports but is especially passionate for soccer. Other than that, he enjoys his time with family and friends but also has fun when meeting new people and getting involved in different extracurriculars, hobbies, etc.

Leo Campos

DESIGN AND CANAL DEPARTMENTS

Leonardo Campos is a senior at ASFM. This is his first year involved in 107 and forms part of the Design department while also collaborating with El Canal. Out of school, Leonardo works on his independent musical project by composing, writing and producing original pieces of music.

Eugenio Laddaga

CANAL DEPARTMENT

Eugenio Laddaga is a senior in his first year at El 107. He will be joining Canal in hopes of bringing in entertaining content for the viewers. He is also part of other clubs such as Robotics, Z85, Ambassadors, and the Aerospace Club. In his free time, he indulges in the joys of Go-Karting and more recently Padel.

Eugenio Diego

CANAL DEPARTMENT

Eugenio is a sophomore at ASFM his is making his 107 debut this year in the department of canal. In his free time, likes playing sports with friends, and generally hangout like to hang out with friends. Also, he enjoys the company from his family.

Nicole Cantú

INVESTIGATIVE DEPARTMENT

Nicole Cantú is currently a junior at ASFM and in her first year as part of El 107. She is excited to be part of the Investigative Department and looks forward to contributing her ideas. Outside of school, Nicole enjoys singing and playing the piano. She works as a vocal instructor for young girls at a local music school in Monterrey. In her free time, Nicole loves to bake, exercise, and spend time with friends, family, and her dog.

Regina Real

DESIGN DEPARTMENT

Regina Real is a junior at ASFM. As her first year at El 107 she is part of the design department. In her free time, Regina loves to be with her friends, hear music and experience new opportunities. She is currently vice precedent in Mas Utiles and continues to help around when possible.

Balbina González

DESIGN DEPARTMENT

Balbina Gonzalez is a Junior in ASFM. This is her first year in El 107 and is part of the Design department. Apart from school, she loves to play sports, focusing mainly on basketball and soccer. She also enjoys hanging out with friends, and always having something to do.

Caty Cantú

EL MISSOURI AND EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENTS

Caty Cantú is a sophomore at ASFM, and this is her first year in El 107, where she is part of El Missouri (Hard) and Eagle Eye departments. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, playing soccer and tennis, watching movies, and baking. Aside from that, she is driven by helping others and traveling, which she is truly passionate about.

Constanza Lara

EL MISSOURI AND EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENTS

Constanza Lara is a junior at ASFM, and this is her first year writing for El 107. She is a part of El Missouri (Hard) department, and the Eagle Eye department. She enjoys reading, watching classic movies, painting, being with friends and learning new languages. She is also involved in Zona 85, and mentoring programs.

Alexa Arce

SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT

Alexa Arce is a sophomore at ASFM and this is her first year being in 107, being a part of Soft News department. She really enjoys playing sports specially basket and soccer, this is her 10th year being a goalkeeper. Apart from that, Alexa likes to be with her friends and family.

Nina Cantú

SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT

Nina Cantu is a junior at ASFM and her first year in El 107, where she is a part of Soft News. She loves trveling nd getting to know different places in the world. She also enjoys reading and spending time with her friends. Nina also enjoys baking, and her favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice.

Regina Villanueva

SOFT NEWS AND CANAL DEPARTMENTS

Regina Villanueva is a senior at ASFM and a first year at El 107, being a part of Soft News and Canal. Demonstrating her interest in all things entertainment like films, books, sports and all human interaction. Her time is mainly spent playing tennis, watching movies, exercising, eating or with friends. Regina is also TECHO and TEDI JUVENIL vice president and tries to keep herself busy.

Pau Moncayo

OPINION AND EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENTS

Pau is part of the opinion and eagle eye departments. She is currently a junior at ASFM and it is her first year being in El 107. She really enjoys reading, rewatching Gilmore Girls religiously, dancing, climbing, listening to podcasts, and going out for matcha runs with her friends. She also forms part of clubs and organizations such as Ambassadors, Selider, Girls Can STEM community service, and is currently secretary of the Bioscience club and CS Officer in NHS.

Romina Villarreal

OPINION DEPARTMENT

Romina Villarreal is a senior at ASFM, and this is her first year in El 107, where she is part of the investigative team. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and TV series, cooking, reading, and napping with her cats. She has also been the stage manager for ASFM’s musical productions for the past three years, which is something she truly enjoys.

Fabiana Villanueva

SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT

Fabiana Villanueva is a senior at ASFM. This is her second year in El 107 where she is head photographer and part of the soft news department. Fabiana's favorite hobbies are soccer, painting, reading, and traveling. She is part of the NHS community and is ASFM TECHO executive Nuevo León.

Camila Jasso

OPINION DEPARTMENT

Camila Jasso is a junior at ASFM and a new member of the El 107 Opinion department. This is her first year contributing to the newspaper. Outside of school, she enjoys writing, music, and spending time with friends. She also participates in clubs like MUN and the creative writing club. However, most of her passion goes into helping people as part of the CCE Student Office in ASFM.

Guille Lozano

SOFT NEWS DEPARTMENT

Guillermo Lozano is a senior at ASFM, making his debut in El 107 as a part of the soft department. In his free time, Guillermo dedicates himself to the art known as Futbol, an art that has united the world. Guillermo also enjoys hechar la retilla de padel con la plebada as well as spending time with his dogs and friends. Paola Probert

EL MISSOURI AND EAGLE EYE DEPARTMENTS

Paola Probert is a junior and a first-time writer for El 107. She is part of the El Missouri (hard) and the Eagle Eye departments. Outside of school, she enjoys reading mystery and thriller novels, watching sitcoms, exercising, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family. She is involved in several ASFM clubs and activities such as Miles for Smiles, Zona 85, NHS, the Guiding Light Club, and Track and Field.

Sasha Milmo

DESIGN AND MARKETING DEPARTMENTS

Sasha is a junior at ASFM, and this is her first year being part of El 107. She is part of the design and marketing department. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music, and practicing yoga. At school, Sasha is part of the MUN public relations department and is also part of the CCE student office.

Mariana Quiñonez

INVESTIGATIVE DEPARTMENT

Mariana Quiñonez is a junior at ASFM. This is her first year in El 107 and is part of the investigative department. Outside school, she enjoys painting, baking, playing tennis, and spending time with friends. Mariana participates in clubs such as MUN and creative writing, and is part of the Girls can STEM community service.

Sofi Mijares

CARTOONIST AND DESIGN DEPARTMENT

Sofia Mijares is a junior at ASFM. With this being her first year in El 107 as a part of the Design and Cartoon departments. She participates in the school’s plays and musicals. In her free time, she takes dance, piano, and voice lessons, fulfilling her passion for the arts.

Sofia Pozas

EL MISSOURI DEPARTMENT

Sofia Pozas is a senior at ASFM and a first-time writer for El 107. She’s excited to be part of both El Missouri (hard) and the Cartoon departments. Outside of school, she loves taking part in recreational sports like swimming, horseback riding, and running. She’s also passionate about baking, watching great movies, and reading. At school, she appreciates being involved in the stage crew for plays and musicals and enjoys volunteering at TECHO.
