Integrity, it’s a choice

Honesty is not always the best policy for many ASFM students if it will affect their grades.

“Often times integrity is not something that people care about because they feel pressured, stressed, or because they have not received the appropriate information about it,” Ms. Del Bosque explained.

The Integrity Council is seeking to fix just that. Ms. Del Bosque, Ms. Villarreal, Ms. Venegas, Ms. Cortes, Ms. González, Ms. Manzur and Dr. Espino are part of this movement where the goal is to initiate a chain reaction triggered by real life examples of local, honest, successful people.

This project’s main focus is to tackle the ongoing problem of cheating that many students fall into. The leaders believe the best way to achieve this is by allowing them to analyze everyday situations where people must choose what is right, when given the option to do what is wrong.

“This is an initiative that wants to promote living with integrity at all times in the ASFM community,” Ms. Del Bosque said.

One of the strategies will be through dynamic workshops. Some of the activities will be student led, in hopes that more people will listen and make a change.
