Last First Day

August 13th marked the last first day of school for seniors. Student Council organized an event in the sundial to celebrate the seniors ‘last first day of school’. The party included amenities such as music, lemonade, chocolate milk, and a decorated frame where seniors took pictures. Student Council members arrived at 7:00 AM at school to welcome all students and faculty to a new school year.  “As seniors, it's the last time we come to a first day of school to ASFM, and we wanted to celebrate that.” said STUCO officer Alex Torre, “Next year, our small community will get separated as people go to different places and colleges, and its important for seniors to have unity..”. Neon and Tim Hortons reached an agreement to sponsor the event, to provide food and drinks. Due to schedule complications, the restaurant asked the school to move the date of the party, but ‘Neon’ rejected their request because the celebration would lose its value if it was not on the first day. This senior festivity, marks the first event for STUCO this year.
