Chew On This, Not That
The wide array of options the cafeteria offers makes it challenging to decide which way to go; this list has been created to guide you through the plates you should (and should not) order the next time you’re hanging around the Blue Leaf line.
Eat This
Chilaquiles - Considering the rising prices of today, it is nice to know that there is an economical and filling meal for the average working student. It is also one of the few meals that is available at any time of the day, year round.
Salad Wednesdays - A no-frills meal, this option gives the customer full control of the toppings and dressings, allowing the consumer to fully customize the dish to their liking (bonus health points if you skip the dressing).
Morning Tacos - Wide variety, affordable prices, always warm, and always available. What more is there to ask? (Chicharrón is the popular choice)
Torta Árabe - “¿La Torta? ¡Es lo único rico!” - Pato Treviño (11th Grade Student and Professional Food Reviewer)
Not That
Nutella Sandwich - No matter how much you paid for this sandwich, you got ripped off.
Packaged Salads - Not only are you buying the exact same product that’s prepackaged, therefore no longer fresh, but you’re increasing your carbon footprint with all that plastic. Shame on you.
Breakfast Biscuits -You’re getting a better meal deal digging through the leftover rack in the cafeteria rather than paying 50 pesos for a cold Pillsbury biscuit.
Torta Vegana - A clumpy mess of dry bread and mysterious vegetables. Gordon Ramsay would describe this as an “idiot sandwich.”
